The Rivers Trust and South Kerry Development Partnership CLG are inviting entrepreneurs, innovators, producers, educators, researchers, and organisations to showcase their paludiculture and peatland initiatives at an upcoming “Paludi-Fair.”
The image above features BioPuff®, a material made from typha – a renewable wetland plant grown on restored peatland – by Palus Demos partner Ponda. BioPuff®, which is a plant-based alternative to both goose down and polyester in clothing.
Ponda are just one company showing what can be done in this space. Whether you operate in Ireland or across Europe, this exhibition offers a welcoming platform to share your expertise, network with local farmers, governance and policymakers, educators, and the public, and help shape this evolving sector.
The Palus Demos team will have a stall at the event, and we are looking forward to meeting as many people as possible to share their stories (Best of all, it’s in magnificent Mayo, the county which recently won the All-Ireland Senior Football Final after a 75-year wait!)
