Palus Demos partner Lancashire Wildlife Trust was featured in an article in The Guardian on 2 May 2025.
Guardian reporter Graeme Green spoke to Sarah Johnson, the head of peatland nature recovery at the Lancashire Wildlife Trust (LWT). LWT is a partner on the Palus Demos project.
In the piece, Johnson explains the history of the drainage of peatlands, and how environmentalists now know that boglands can store carbon on a massive scale. She outlines how the Palus Demos project will support farmers in growing crops that thrive in boggy soils.
